Research Seminar on Food Insecurity, Kingsborough Community College, CUNY (2019)Responsibilities: Co-created a research seminar series on food insecurity that was funded by Kingsborough Community College’s Presidential Faculty Innovation Awards grant. Within the series, taught five undergraduate students how to create and carry out an original research study on the impact of food insecurity and related campus programs on the Kingsborough student community. Also conducted community outreach in the form of co-creating original pamphlets advertising the various food support programs on the Kingsborough campus, as well as co-creating a student-lead panel highlighting major findings to the student community during the annual campus Food Day conference.

Workshop, Rutgers Urban Teacher Education Program (2018)

Responsibilities: Created an original one-hour workshop for the Rutgers Urban Teacher Education Program’s annual Wake Up! Critical Pedagogy for Critical Times Conference. Created original assignments that addressed research methods used for community members on food insecurity. Assignments included the use of body and space mapping, geospatial tools, surveys, and narratives.

General Curriculum, Community Engaged Research Academy (2017—2018)

Responsibilities: Helped to create a lecture format for scientific experts that united their life story with their research concerns, projects of interest, and ongoing ethical considerations.

Introduction to Psychology, Bronx Community College, CUNY (2011—2018)

Responsibilities: Revised short-answer and multiple choice questions for department-wide final exam. Assisted with revisions to the guide for the teaching of the course. Facilitated annual campus-wide review of the final exam with students.

Workshop, New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (2014—2015)

Responsibilities: Helped NYC DYCD identify topics of interest within adolescent psychology for professionals working in youth-centered programs. Created original assignments based on adolescent psychology that included take-home and at-workshop activities.
