Dr. Tanzina Ahmed

Dr. Tanzina Ahmed is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Kingsborough Community College, City University of New York (CUNY). She is also a graduate of the Developmental Psychology program at The Graduate Center, CUNY, and a former substitute lecturer at Bronx Community College, CUNY. Her research focuses on understanding how community and four-year college students navigate issues of academic achievement, food and housing security, health behaviors, and socio-economic status. She uses narrative inquiry and a detailed mixed-methods approach to delve deep into how ethnically and socioeconomically diverse community and four-year college students interpret their life experiences, both at home and on the college campus.
